Costus
Costus, also known as Kuth or Indian costus, refers to a genus of plants (Dolomiaea costus and Costus) that are used in traditional medicine for their anti-inflammatory and anti-ulcer properties. The plant is a hairy perennial herb with a stout stem, large leaves, and distinctive round, blue-purple to black flowers, with its thick, dark roots being the most valued part.
